SDGs – Philippines

Voluntary National Review (2019)

The Philippines will be presenting its 2nd Voluntary National Review (VNR) on the SDGS in July 2019.

The VNRs aim to facilitate the sharing of experiences, including successes, challenges and lessons learned, with a view to accelerating the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. The VNRs also seek to strengthen policies and institutions of governments and to mobilize multi-stakeholder support and partnerships for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.

To ensure the inclusive process in the crafting of the VNR, the Philippines aims to apply a whole of society approach. Aside from the national and local government units, the civil society organizations (CSOs), academe and the private sector are also highly encouraged to provide inputs to the Report.

Aside from providing recommendations on how the report can be further improved, the government and non-government organizations are requested to provide inputs to the following questions:

         1. Are there any initiatives supportive of the SDGs that you wish to highlight in the report? What initiatives can we undertake to “leave no one               behind” on the focus goals? What are the best practices that you can share?

        2. In pursuit of the SDGs, how can stakeholders be further engaged?

Please send your inputs to the Philippine Institute for Development Studies on or before March 29, 2019 through this email:
