Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response Readiness Enhancement Programa
This project by the Philippine Navy entails the procurement of lacking search and rescue retrieval equipment, firefighting equipment, personnel protective equipment (PPE) and emergency medical team equipment for the Search and Rescue Retrieval (SRR) Teams of the Philippine Navy through its Naval Installation Facilities nationwide. These SRR Teams will support the NDRRMC in the event of disasters save lives and further restore various affected lifelines such as water, power, communications, and other utility services. The procurement of the lacking search rescue and retrieval equipment, firefighting equipment personnel protective equipment (PPE) and emergency medical team equipment will increase the operational readiness of disaster response units and ensure that they are fully capable to perform their duty in times of disasters and other similar events. The project will contribute in building resilience of country through provision of modern and state-of-the-art technology which can be used for timely and accurate disaster response.
